ABOUT EXODUS CHURCH

Exodus Church started in 2009 with 30 adults and 15 children and a desire to be a church-planting church filled with disciple-making disciples. By God’s grace, we’ve become a growing church filled with people (young and old) who have come to faith, with lives transformed more into the image of God. We are hopeful for the future as we continue to seek to be a redeemed people who worship and serve God in the world.

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION

Exodus Church’s Summer Internship is a 9 week program that seeks to train men and women for future ministry through practical ministry experience, leadership training, and personal mentorship.

In Ephesians 4, Paul instructs church leaders to prepare, train and equip the saints for ministry. Paul goes on to emphasize that every believer has gifts given by God. Our desire is to prepare, train and equip men and women to use their gifts for the work of ministry.

The Summer Internship will allow Exodus Church to equip and encourage men and women aspiring for the work of ministry to be an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity (1 Timothy 4:12).

The internship is a full-time paid position that runs from May 28 through August 4.

What if I can’t come back yet?

Not everyone will be comfortable returning to worship services at The Mill at this time. We will continue to offer a quality video service each week for those who need it.

VALUES

We want our interns to learn through formal teaching and training, lead as they gain experience in practical areas of ministry, and launch out from the program more confident in the ways God made them.

Learn
We want our interns to grow as disciples while here at Exodus. They will receive practical training and teaching to help them grow in their understanding of the Word, the Church, and ministry.

Lead
We want our interns to experience opportunities for servant leadership in practical ministry areas in the church. They will be encouraged to grow in many areas of leadership including giving and receiving feedback, time management, and communication skills.

Launch
We want our interns to develop a confidence in their sense of calling and giftings. While not all interns may feel called to formal church ministry, we pray at the end of the internship each intern has a better understanding of how they can use their gifts to serve God in the church and in the world.

COMPENSATION

Interns will be considered full time at Exodus Church.
Interns will be paid $10/hr (total $3600 for the summer)
Housing will be provided at no cost to any intern that does not live in the Belmont area
