Community is one of those words we all use, but few of us seem to ever really experience what the Bible describes. We live in a culture that is highly individualistic, lonely and busier than ever. And yet, in each of us is a desire to know and be known…to belong. The primary place to know and be known at Exodus are Community Groups.
At Exodus, Community Groups pursue one another so that Jesus is seen and disciples are made.
Pursue one another
Rather than living isolated lives, we want to know one another. We do this by pursuing one another. The scheduled time that our groups gather is only one part of this. In pursuing one another, we try to connect throughout the week with the people in our group.
So that Jesus is seen
We believe that when we live in community with one another Jesus is seen and enjoyed. We believe that this happens not only through studying Gods word together, but through our interactions. When we love and serve one another, Jesus is displayed.
Disciples are made
Our groups pursue one another so that disciples are made. So, we are concerned with our growth and the growth of others in our group. We show this by speaking the truth to one another, living our lives on mission together, and considering how we can encourage one another.
Check our Community Groups Options page for locations and meeting times.
Community Groups are organized geographically for the purpose of connecting lives and multiplying the mission. We want this to be our pattern. However, if you need to meet with another group for scheduling reasons, we’ll help you get connected.
How do I get plugged in?
How do we handle children?
Each Community Group handles children in a way that works. If you have questions about that, please contact us.
