Every parent that brings their children to Exodus Kids asks three questions:

Will My Child be Safe?

The safety and care of your child is our highest priority. For this reason, we have appropriately qualified leaders who have been assessed and trained to work with children. If your little one should need you, we will flash the child’s number from your parent receipt up on the screen during the service. No one is allowed into the Exodus Kids area without proper identification or a parent receipt.

Will My Child have fun?

Each week, our volunteers work to provide an exciting, nurturing and intentional environment for our children. Through creative teaching, crafts and other avenues, our leaders help children enjoy learning about Jesus from the Bible. Your children will have a great time at Exodus Kids.

what will my child learn?

The goal of Exodus Kids is to partner with parents to show children that Jesus is the one who delivers us from bondage so that we might worship Him and serve Him in the world. We want to teach them about Jesus through biblically faithful, age-appropriate teaching that centers on the person and work of Jesus as the centerpiece of God’s story.

Check in/out

CHECK IN

  • Parents/Guardians bring children to the Check In Station.
  • Information is entered into our database (Realm).
  • Parents are given the child’s name tag and parent tag.
  • Parents take the child to the appropriate room and give any special instructions to the teacher.

CHECK OUT

  • K-5th graders will be brought to the worship space to their parents. All other children should be picked up in their classrooms after the service concludes.
  • Parent tags are visually checked by teachers to make sure they match the number on the child’s name tag.

Snugglers (Infants)

Primarily at this age, we provide nurture and care. Infants are welcome in the service, and we have a Moms room accessed through the women’s restroom. Audio of the service will be provided in the Moms Room.

Crawlers, Walkers, & Jumpers (1-2 year olds)

Your child will hear a story, sing worship songs and play.

Preschool – 3 year olds & 4 year olds

Your child will hear a story, sing worship songs, participate in craft time, and guided play.

Primary – Kindergarten through 5th Grade

When you feel that your child is mature enough to be in the service with you, we want you to feel free to make that decision. Exodus Kids is offered to supplement, not replace the spiritual formation provided in the family.

Your child will sing worship songs and participate in large group story time with all the children. After this, the children may divide into small groups for discussion about the Bible story.

WELL-CHILD POLICY

Exodus Church is dedicated to providing a safe, secure, nurturing environment for your children. Part of this involves preventing the spread of communicable disease among children and workers. Parents and caregivers must, therefore, be familiar with and abide by the Well Child Policy.

Caregivers have the right to refuse a child on the basis of symptoms as listed in the Well Child Policy. In addition, in certain instances, Exodus Church reserves the right to request clearance by a family physician before allowing a child to return to care.

VOLUNTEERING

We take the safety, security and spiritual formation of our children very seriously. For this reason, we seek to insure that all volunteers are checked thoroughly before they are trusted with a precious resource like our children.
