Exodus Kids Director
ABOUT EXODUS CHURCH
Exodus Church started in 2009 with 30 adults and 15 children and a desire to be a church-planting church filled with disciple-making disciples. By God’s grace, we’ve become a growing church filled with people (young and old) who have come to faith, with lives transformed more into the image of God. We are hopeful for the future as we continue to seek to be a redeemed people who worship and serve God in the world.
Belmont, North Carolina, offers a mixture of small town charm and explosive population growth. A suburb of Charlotte, it is located within a short drive of the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, the National Whitewater Center, the Billy Graham Library, Christmastown USA, Lake Wylie, and a variety of restaurant and shopping options.
Job Description
Commitment: 40 hrs/week, including in office staff and admin meetings
What if I can’t come back yet?
Not everyone will be comfortable returning to worship services at The Mill at this time. We will continue to offer a quality video service each week for those who need it.
Purpose of position
To come alongside parents to encourage and support them in their role as the primary disciple-makers of their kids. To promote Scripture memorization, prayer, and Bible reading, as well as provide opportunities for ministry, outreach to the community, and connection to the mission field. To teach a Bible-based curriculum and encourage a biblically-based lifestyle among the children. To point kids and their families to a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Team
Reports to: Pastor of Operations
Supervises: Childcare Admin
Supports and Coordinates With: Other staff, elders, leaders, and members within Exodus Church.

- Experienced in administration and organization
- Comfortable with being a servant leader
- Humble, teachable, and driven
Responsibilities

Plan, staff, and oversee Exodus Kids on Sunday mornings

Plan, staff, and oversee Special Events weekly & monthly, including Exodus Kids Extreme

Choose curriculum, teach, and train volunteers to teach

Recruit, train, pray for, lead, and involve Exodus Kids volunteers

Create and effectively manage the ministry’s budget

Help to manage and lead kids safety policies & procedures

Communicate consistently with parents, helping connect church and home

Coordinate policies, procedures, and room usage with the Childcare Admin, also assisting with Childcare recruitment

Work with Exodus Students Director to prepare and pass kids & families effectively into Exodus Students

- Fluency in Google Applications (primarily Docs & Sheets)

- Organized and productive
- Ability to discern and recognize developmental appropriateness
