Vacation Reading

One of the things our family enjoys on vacation is reading.  Our kids take books to read on the road.  Cheryl and I take books to read during down time.  We also enjoy listening to books while we are driving (Ben Hur is on tap this summer).

This is an oldie, but a goodie – Sometimes we forget that every possible type of literature can be found in the Bible.  Romance Novel (Ruth), History/War (OT History Books), Biography (Gospels), Sci-Fi (OK, maybe that’s stretching, but the apocalyptic literature in Revelation and Daniel are pretty out there.)  Spend some time reading God’s Word on vacation.  It might help with the issues we covered here and here.

Some of you have asked about good books to read.  While that is a daunting question with so many books available, here are some of the books we have recommended recently.  You can pick these up at your local bookstore or online.
