Exodus Happenings, December 9, 2014

Here’s what’s happening at Exodus…and there’s a lot!

Exodus Kids Need—Service Captains

In an effort to ensure that each Sunday with Exodus Kids runs smoothly and safely, we are working to put in place Service Captains who will carry overall responsibility for coordinating the needs of Exodus Kids for one of the Sunday morning services. This would include (but is not limited to) ensuring that all positions are filled each Sunday, all supplies and materials are in place, coordinating with various personnel for Exodus Kids needs, and so on. To learn more about these positions, or to express interest in helping in this way, please contact Heather Phillips.

Project Angel Tree

Hopefully by now you have picked up an ornament or two to help out a child for this year’s Angel Tree project. Return your gifts to the worship space no later than December 14. Don’t wrap your gifts, but do bring wrapping supplies with it. If you are able to help with another gift, please contact Damon Murray for details.

Belmont Christmas Village Caroling

Belmont downtown merchants will be celebrating their annual Christmas Village this Friday evening, December 12. Exodus will participate by providing carolers. If you would like to join this group, meet at the worship space at 5:30 p.m. Dress for the weather; you will be outside!

On the blog…

Over the next couple of weeks, there will be a number of blog posts that will encourage you this Christmas and provide helpful resources. Why not set a reminder on your smartphone to go there at least once a week to see what’s there!

International Missions Offering

Throughout the month of December, we will be receiving offerings for international missions. Please consider what you can to do help provide for the needs of our international ministry partners.

Christmas Eve

The Exodus family will celebrate Jesus’ birth together with two gathered worship services on Christmas Eve, 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. Make plans now for your family to attend. In order for the whole family to worship together, there will be no childcare during these services.

Year-End Giving

We are more than grateful to serve Jesus at a church that is generous with the money God provides. He has been so good to us. Thank you for your faithfulness in giving throughout the year.

As you think about what you can give at the end of the year, please consider Exodus in your plans. Gifts must be received (or postmarked, if by mail) no later than Dec. 31 to be included in 2014 giving records.

Looking Ahead…Authentic Manhood

New sessions start in January. Men at Exodus Belmont will study Volume 2, and Exodus Northlake will be in Volume 1.

Community Groups

If you’re not already connected in a Community Group, we encourage you to visit one or more to see for yourself how important they are to Exodus Church. You can see a list of options here, or look for a list at the Welcome Desk on a Sunday morning.
