Exodus Kids Extreme Recap ⎯ An Extremely BIG Time!

by | Jul 22, 2019 | News

Number of kids – 148
Number of volunteers – 100
Decibel level reached – 103

Exodus Kids Extreme added up to some BIG numbers this year! We had 127 kids attending plus 21 in preschool childcare. With that many kids, we used every space available to accommodate them – music and teaching in the main building, snack in the Exodus Kids building, and recreation in the park.

It takes an army of volunteers to run a successful kids’ program and our people answered the call for volunteers in a BIG way. We had over 100 volunteers each night who worked together to run a fantastic program. Our own members created and arranged the entire Kingdom EKE program and they did such an amazing job.

The most important of EKE isn’t the numbers, though. It isn’t the fun we had or the snacks we ate or even the kazoos we played! The most important part is what the kids learned about God and His love for them. The lessons that were taught explained the gospel story.

Sin stains us and separates us from God. But God had a plan for just this occurrence. He gave us His law so we could recognize our sin, then He sent His son, Jesus, to take the punishment for our sins. Once we recognize and accept that truth, we are adopted into God’s family as sons and daughters. He gives each of us His Spirit to help us live like the princes and princesses that we are, as part of the King’s BIG family.

We want to say thank you to everyone who helped and everyone who attended. Thank you for your hard work in the heat. Thank you for trusting your children to us. We hope to see everyone at church as we continue teaching the gospel story each week, letting it shape us and remind us how to live as beloved children in God’s kingdom.
