Here’s what’s happening at Exodus…
Exodus Students Community Group
A community group for ExodusStudents meets Mondays from 6:30 to 7:45 at the worship space at 101 South Main in Belmont. This is for 6-12th graders, and includes fellowship, discussion of the week’s sermon, and prayer. If you have a student that is not yet plugged in to the group we would love for them to join us.
If you have questions feel free to call or text Damon Murray at 828-238-7988. Note that the group will meet at the worship space for August; watch here for an updated location in a few weeks.
Exodus Family Back to School Pool Party
Join us for an evening of fun in the pool–Cramerton Pool, that is–Friday, August 15, 5:30-8:30 p.m. We will provide paper products and drinks; everyone else bring food to share–but no glass containers! Please RSVP here so we can plan well to accommodate everyone.
New Need, Financial Admin
We recently learned that we will need to find a replacement for Tom and Sandra Parnelle, who have served us faithfully for several years by keeping the Exodus financials. If you know of someone who might be qualified to help us in this way, working approximately 12 hours/week at the Exodus office, please direct them to inquire at info@theexoduschurch.org. More information here on The City. This need is effective August 18.
Exodus Kids, Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
If you are a current or former Exodus Kids Worker, join us for a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, Sunday, August 24th at 12:30 pm, after the second service. This will be at the Iris Room, meeting room side. Please RSVP here if you are planning to attend.
EK Workers needed, starting September 7
A new rotation starts in Exodus Kids on September 7, running through February. Several of our current workers are in need of a break, leaving many open needs. If you can help during this upcoming rotation, please email Heather Phillips, or stop by the Iris Room on a Sunday morning to connect with her.
Leadership Summit, September 8
If you currently serve at Exodus, or are looking for a place to plug in to service, Leadership Summit is meant for you. Join us to report, plan and pray. There will be a group for all those who need to find a place of service. At 101 South Main, 6:30 p.m.
Celebrating Five Years!
Exodus will celebrate five years as a church on September 14! There will be one joint service, including both the Belmont and Northlake congregations, at the Great Hall in Mt. Holly. You won’t want to miss this celebration of all that God has done in the past five years!
Next Steps, September 21
If you’ve been attending Exodus for a while, and are interested in possibly pursuing membership, but want to know more, join us for Next Steps on Sunday, September 21 at 5:00 p.m. We will provide more information about the church, as well as answer any questions you might have. If you’d like to come, RSVP here so that we can plan accordingly, and include your need for child care, which will be provided as needed.
Community Groups
If you aren’t already involved in a community group, review the list of days and times and make plans to attend one. Community Groups are important to life at Exodus, providing help and encouragement as well as worship throughout the week as we gather together.
