Here’s what’s happening at Exodus…

Exodus Kids Teacher Luncheon

There will be a teacher luncheon on Sunday, August 23 (following the 11:00 service) in the Iris Room for all teachers serving for the next rotation. Childcare will be provided, but we need to hear from you with an RSVP.  We will be going over the new curriculum, EK policies and much more important info. Questions can also be addressed to Heather Phillips.

Exodus Kids Workers Needed

Volunteers are still needed to serve in Exodus Kids for the Fall/Winter rotation which begins in September. Five adult females are particularly needed in the 9:00 service. If you can assist in this way, look for Heather Phillips at the Iris Room on Sunday morning, email her,  or message her here on The City.

Women’s Mentoring

Sign-up here to be part of our women’s mentoring ministry. You’ll be placed into very small groups with a mentor, following the Titus 2 model of older women teaching the younger women. We look forward to having you join us!

As Two Become One

Scott and Lenora Crabtree will be hosting a marriage group in their home (5412 Old Farm Road, Gastonia) starting on September 11. There is more information here about dates, topics and leaders. Registration is also available now and space is still available. If you have questions not covered at the link above, contact Scott Crabtree here on The City or by email here.

Money Matters Weekend, September 18-19

As Christians, we learn how we ought to conduct our lives primarily through God’s word.  Many times, however, we pick and choose the pieces we want to hear and apply, missing out on the rewards that follow faithful obedience. The topic of money is both exceedingly relevant in our daily lives as well as frequently discussed in the Bible.  Please join us for our Money Matters class as we begin to explore what the Bible says about money. We have a team of counselors who will work alongside you as we dig in, and then walk alongside you as you learn to apply new principles into your life.

Food and childcare will be provided.  If you have any questions please send them to finances@theexoduschurch.org.  Please join us, investing in life-changing knowledge of the truth.

Baptism, September 20

We will be celebrating baptism on September 20 in both services. If you have not been baptized, and would like to be, please speak with one of the elders or your community group leader so that we can plan accordingly.

Community Groups

If you’re not currently connected with a community group, pick up a CG schedule at the Welcome area on a Sunday morning, or check here for a list of options. There is sure to be an option near you at a time you can join.
