Here’s what’s happening at Exodus…

York County Prison Ministry

Many have expressed a desire to join the York County Prison Ministry team, which visits the prison once a month to eat with, worship with, and proclaim the gospel to the prisoners (men with the men, women with the women). You can learn more about the prison ministry here.

The training required by the prison to be cleared to join the ministry has been scheduled for October 11 at 3 pm at 778 Justice Blvd, York, SC 29745.

Whether you are able to be a regular visitor or not, take the course to get on the list of people authorized to visit the prison. By taking the training, you are under no obligation to participate in the ministry any more than God makes you able.

Please contact Derick Henderson by email if you want to go; he will send you the form that you have to fill out and take with you to the training.

There are other ways to help if you cannot come, such as prayer support and helping to provide the home cooking we take to the inmates. Let Derick know if you would like to be added to the email list for helping in these ways as well.

Women’s Ministry

The Women’s Ministry is having a Game Night on October 16th from 7 – 9 pm. Lenora Crabtree has so graciously offered to host us for the night.

Laughter, food and fellowship – come join other Exodus women for a night of games, snacks and conversation. Hang out with old friends and meet new ones. Bring a jacket!  Weather permitting, we will end the evening around the bonfire in the Crabtree’s backyard. Please RSVP here.

ExodusStudents/Exodus Kids—Family Picnic and Hike

Join us Saturday, October 25 at 12 noon. Meet at the Linwood Road access parking lot of Crowders Mountain. Bring your own picnic and drinks. We will eat at the picnic tables and then enjoy a nice hike and a spectacular view at the top.

Community Groups

If you aren’t already involved in a community group, review the list of days and times and make plans to attend one. New groups are starting currently. Community Groups are important to life at Exodus, providing help and encouragement as well as worship throughout the week as we gather together.
