Exodus Kids Workers Needed
Three female volunteers are still needed to serve in the 9:00 a.m. service in Exodus Kids for the Fall/Winter rotation which begins in September. If you can assist in this way, look for Heather Phillips at the Iris Room on Sunday morning, email her, or message her here on The City. Subs are also needed.
Move-up Sunday is September 6, when the new teachers will begin as will the new curriculum, The Gospel Project.
Women’s Mentoring
Sign-up here to be part of our women’s mentoring ministry. You’ll be placed into very small groups with a mentor, following the Titus 2 model of older women teaching the younger women. We look forward to having you join us!
As Two Become One starts September 11
Scott and Lenora Crabtree will be hosting a marriage group in their home (5412 Old Farm Road, Gastonia) starting on September 11. There is more information here about dates, topics and leaders. Money Matters Weekend, September 18-19
As Christians, we learn how we ought to conduct our lives primarily through God’s word. Many times, however, we pick and choose the pieces we want to hear and apply, missing out on the rewards that follow faithful obedience. The topic of money is both exceedingly relevant in our daily lives as well as frequently discussed in the Bible. Join us for our Money Matters class as we begin to explore what the Bible says about money. We have a team of counselors who will work alongside you as we dig in, and then walk alongside you as you learn to apply new principles into your life.
- When: Friday, September 18th 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm and Saturday, September 19th 9:00 am – noon
- Where: Exodus Church in Belmont, 105 S Main Street, Belmont, NC 28012 (The Overflow Room)

Baptism, September 20
We will be celebrating baptism on September 20 in both services. If you have not been baptized, and would like to be, please speak with one of the elders or your community group leader so that we can plan accordingly.
Men’s Retreat, October 9-10
The men’s retreat will be held on October 9-10 at the Bonclarken Conference Center near Flat Rock, NC. The speaker will be JR Vassar from Church at the Cross in the Dallas area. Cost is $65, which includes lodging and three meals. Register here.
