Here’s what’s happening at Exodus…

Exodus Kids, Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

If you are a current or former Exodus Kids Worker, join us for a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, Sunday, August 24th at 12:30 pm, after the second service. This will be at the Iris Room, meeting room side. Please RSVP here if you are planning to attend.

Exodus Family Parking Survey

If you haven’t already done so, please take a minute (literally) to fill out our Exodus Parking Survey–one response per family. This will help our facility discovery team to more accurately understand the needs that must be considered relative to a new home for Exodus. Thanks for your help!

EK Workers needed, starting September 7

A new rotation starts in Exodus Kids on September 7, running through February. Several of our current workers are in need of a break, leaving many open needs. If you can help during this upcoming rotation, please email Heather Phillips, or stop by the Iris Room on a Sunday morning to connect with her.

CPC Walk for Life

Friday, September 5, 2014. Registration will be start at 3:30 pm and the event will go from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. This will be a fun night for the family. There will be plenty of activities and food too.

If you are interested in walking or sponsoring a walker, look for registration forms on the white cabinet in the hallway at the worship center.  If you have any questions, please contact Darlene Mitchell.

Celebrating Five Years!

Exodus will celebrate five years as a church on September 14! You can find all the important information about our worship gathering for this day here. You won’t want to miss this celebration of all that God has done in the past five years!

Night Class, starting September 15

Night class will be starting up again on September 15th, 2014. Both classes will meet on Monday nights from 6:30 to 7:30, and run for 8 weeks. The classes will meet at the Belmont location (101 South Main).

Registration is available now. There is a $25 registration fee, which covers the cost of all materials. There will not be childcare for these classes.

The classes will be:

Bible Doctrine, taught by Bubba Hines: This course will introduce students to systematic theology and twenty doctrines that are core to the Christian faith. In addition to learning about the doctrines, students will actively engage in the work of systematic theologians and time will be invested in discovering what Scripture has to say about each doctrine.

What’s Best Next, taught by Konrad LaPrade and Thomas Griffin: This class is based on the book by Matthew Perman. What’s Best Next is for anyone who wants to live an effective life for the glory of God. The book takes the best practices from various methods of effectiveness and soaks them in the gospel of Jesus to give us a way to effectively manage our responsibilities and roles to the glory of God. If you are young and trying to figure out how to get things done, this class is for you. If you are more mature and have finally hit the wall where the plates aren’t spinning well anymore, this class is also for you.

Next Steps, September 21

If you’ve been attending Exodus for a while, and are interested in possibly pursuing membership, but want to know more, join us for Next Steps on Sunday, September 21 at 5:00 p.m. We will provide more information about the church, as well as answer any questions you might have. If you’d like to come, RSVP here so that we can plan accordingly, and include your need for child care, which will be provided as needed.

Community Groups

If you aren’t already involved in a community group, review the list of days and times and make plans to attend one. Community Groups are important to life at Exodus, providing help and encouragement as well as worship throughout the week as we gather together.
